I used to play piano for a woman named Silvia Kohan. In 1972 I wrote a song called "Moon Over Venice" for her and she always sang it whenever we performed and she eventually recorded it after she moved to Santa Cruz. The photo was taken of Silvia and me at what turned out to be an ill fated booking at a restaurant on Sunset Blvd called, if I remember correctly, La Chamonix. We were supposed to attract new customers and we did except that almost all of our loyal fans were virtualy penniless and we got canned.
Silvia died in 2003 but one of her friends has created a YouTube channel in her memory and created a "Memories of Venice" presentation of "Moon Over Venice" using vintage photos including a cute old color photo of John and me.
