Near a mall and the library is a giant statue of
Buddha that people go to as a shrine...it is not old:
it is completely modern. It was a great landmark for me
who spent the first two weeks in Japan completely lost
unless I could see the "statue"! 415.jpg

This image really grabs and holds my attention with its simple colour scheme, perfect exposure and almost deferential viewpoint. The tearstain is icing on a already delightful cake.

This is a beautiful shot! Love the colour of the sky in the background with the white cloud, it makes the statue more powerful. /Jezz
