PF&P narrow gauge/ Virginia Central RR Today: The abandon railroad grade from Fredericksburg, VA to Orange, VA

These photos are of what is left of the old PF&P/VC right-of-way as it snakes it way through the city of Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania county and Orange county. The PF&P (Potomac, Fredericksburg & Piedmont)narrow gauge Railroad lasted from 1874 to 1926 and the Virginia Central standard gauge railroad 1926-1938. A one mile spur at Fredericksburg remained until 1984. The PF&P was one of the last narrow gauge railroads in Virginia.

Any information about old narrow gauge 3' equipment to assist the Dendron Historical Society in rebuilding a boxcar from the Surry Sussex and SouthHampton Railroad.
