Although I get a little queasy about displaying my kids, I liked this one too much not too.
This was taken at a local grocery store who had a free Santa and who encouraged you to bring your own camera!
Fortunately I had about nine kids ahead of my own to get the exposure right...
this was spot metered dead center on Santa's forehead with fill flash and since
this was right next to the front window so there was plenty of nice, natural light.
I knew the glove and some of the other white clothing would be overexposed but since they are dead white anyway I don't think it detracts.
I wanted to expose Santa's face really well, hence the spot meter on him.
BTW, this is Heather, 6 and Eric 2 1/2.
And yes, Santa's hair and beard are very real.
Also, this made some of the best prints my Epson 785EPX has ever spit out. My wife was thrilled.
