This bell that stands at the front of the current station was one of two historical bells that alerted Calgary's first volunteer firefighters.
The first bell is now at Heritage Park and the second bell, the heavier of the two, was purchased as a replacement due to the growth of the community and the need for a louder alarm.
The bell symbolizes the progress, courage, fun and sentiment of yesteryear and the hopes of tomorrow.
