for the first time, and wonders what the heck they are, floating down the water, making that weird quacky noise.... He had got very tangled up in his extending lead, so I had unhooked him for a minute or two to straighten it out and he trotted over to the waters' edge, with me panicking that he may be tempted to jump into the ice stream and play with them. Fortunately he was a good boy and came back fairly promptly when I called him (after I had taken a quick photo of course!)
