Guitar Mania On The Streets Of Downtown Cleveland

  cleveland artists and other rock-stars designed and decorated large fibreglass guitars then scattered them around downtown cleveland. i can only recall credits of some of the artists and plan to go back and correct that.
though it does not have the guitars in their current surroundings the guitar-mania website is actually quite nice. here is a detailed map(PDF) of guitar locations..

My son lives in D.C.. He has taken a picture of all 150 pig statues in D.C.. He is coming home July 23rd for a short stay to visit a very sick cousin. His goal is to get all the guitars pictures too. He'll be home at the end of August for five days to visit and hopes to get the guitars he missed. Thanks for listening.

fazzino is the artist you refer to. he also has done work for the olympics and the superbowl and his work has been exhibited in over 500 galleries worldwide.
i read a little about the cows-on-parade and besides being displayed in KC last year, they are currently on to tour in sydney, london, latvia, montevideo, las vegas, portland after showing in newyork, houston, new jersey, stamford. i wasn't able to find many photos on the net of those cows, perhaps you can upload some.
artist peter max who contributed to guitar-mania has said that he believes the guitars should go on a worldwide tour in the future. i am not sure that he is aware that the guitars will be auctioned off for charity this fall in cleveland.

Thanks for sharing these images. I especially like the flag guitar. These are much better than the cows on parade that were in KC last year.
