I found this by my backdoor one Sunday afternoon. It must have been pretty freshly dead because once the ants found it, they made short work of it. Monday morning they had it in sections (head, body, tip of tail) and were rapidly disassembling it - they looked for all the world like a work crew disassembling the fuselage of a large aircraft. Tuesday morning the ants were gone and all that was left of the dragonfly was its empty translucent shell. Wednesday morning the landscape guy with the leaf blower came through and the remains were gone. I probably should have gotten a photo of that, but dead critters gross me out.
