Red ants

Post Oak, Texas

We were wandering thru the cattle pastures during the early evening when we came across several red ant mounds.
Sheila told me that red ants are not aggressive like fire ants are. They also keep the fire ant populations down.

Once you learn a bit about something you tend to appreciate it more.
We don't have fire ants but carpenter ants are ever present.
I appreciate them outside.
