Steph, if you have the original, resize it to 1200 at the higher end and post that...let's do a comparison as I'm sure knowing your skill with clarity it's going to show it's the sizing Pbase requires is the cause.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a beautiful shot with that fabulous lavender and blue sky! However, I have noticed that shots that look sharp on my computer look blurry on PBase. I thought it was just me.

Using Adobe RGB will cause muddy images when uploaded. Have you tried doing your images in sRGB instead?
