Fun with Flashlights after Dark is an ongoing experiment in painting with light. I always knew that a moving light would show up as trails with long exposure times and have wanted to try this for some time.
The first 12 photos were taken on December 14, 2006. I was out taking photos of the Northern Lights and after the clouds moved in I got bored and started throwing my flashlight around. The other photos were taken on January 13, 2007 with the help of my Drunken Friends. I encourage you to try this, all you need is a tripod, a camera set to 30sec exposure and a few flashlights. The Drunken friends are optional but sometimes they help.
Please leave your comments and suggestions I will continue to update this gallery as I try new locations and techniques.
Continue on William this is leaving rubber all over the starting line on its way to page one of the Popular Galleries section. I've had this idea for awhile now and I'm a big fan of the collective unconscious. Stay Jung and busy buying batteries, replacement lghts and new lens plates ;-) Great stuff! Gus R
