Truly an excellent weekend. Beautiful setting. Excellent mix of acts. Old / New / Chilled / Frantic. I was a bit scepticle about Planty but his voice was powerful as ever & Ramble On was a highlight. Otway was as good as I've seen him. Buzzcocks brought the memories flooding back. Byrne, Adom & The Yards were all new to me & very impressive. Love Grocer & Kamel Nitrate were excellent in Whirl-y-Gig although I thought personal favourites Seize the Day were slightly out of place in there. Also great to see so many old Hawkwind faces playing with Space Ritual. Was that really Stacia on the Bongos?

The Hare Krishnas made it feel like the hippy fairs of old. The Burrowhill Cider, the Croissant-Neuf stage, the mini-greenfields and the total lack of corporate sponsorship added to a mini Piltonesque feel. The toilets and the site on the whole were generally clean and the surrounding gardens & church bells made for an idyllic setting.

A couple of things they do need to sort out are the queues at the box office & ale running out mid afternoon each day. The choice of food was also a little restricted. But all in all a festival run how festivals should be & the Tort Tribe will definitely be back next year.

I'm afraid the batteries in my camera gave out during the Sunday so not as many pictures of Kamel Nitrate, Buzzcocks or Banco da Gaia as I would have liked but I hope these give a flavour of a great weekend
