History / Provenance | Purchased purchased as part of a Los Angeles area estate sale with no history other than implication that the deceased was very elderly and traveled extensively in Mexico and the South West. I'm guessing it is circa 1940s, but it may be older. There is no name on the bottom. I recently got an email from Art Wolf, who is helping the Okhay Owingeh collect older pieces for a museum and cultural center at the pueblo, asking if I was interested in selling it...I'm still thinking about that as I like the clean utilitarian look. | |
