Burg Eltz is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle River
between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of the same family
that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago.
A fabulous, fairy tale like image. The mono interpretation is just perfect for he scene. Amazing that it is still in the same family after all this time. ~BV~
This is the one on our lovely German calendar this week. A stunning fairy tale castle. Your B&W image is mystical, evocative & also a calendar quality!
Not only a spectacular shot with nice leading lines, but an amazing story to go along with it!33 generations....such a foreign thought for a North American. We work in terms of two or three generations as being impressive...lol. V
Wonderful history behind this castle.Must be a lot of tradition.Great black and white presentation as the castle blend into the background.Splendid capture of this medieval detailed castle...V
That is a really long heritage line for this castle that looks to be fit for a Queen. Oh what stories it could tell. You have taken a superb photo of it.
My favorite castle, it can't be beat for complexity and setting. Great in black and white, I like all the tones and details. So nice you got this without people in the frame. "V"
You have provided the viewer with a grand entrance to this magical structure. Love the softness of the monochrome values and your image resolution is excellent. Great viewing in original. Vote
