The oldest "Mercedes".
The 40-hp Simplex replaced the 35-hp which was designed by Wilhelm Maybach.
The name "Simplex" because the car was relatively simple to maintain and operate at its time.
4-cylinders, 6785 cc, 40-horsepower 1100 RPM, 80 km/h top speed
