Thankful for signs like this. It means someone has a job.

That's better than the signs that say "End of the World".
They really worry me.

No kidding! Must be there because of rules and regulations.

Without the sign and the barrier I would have had no inkling that this was the end of the sidewalk. Chances are that I would have blithely walked off the concrete onto the dirt, possibly injuring myself. Even worse: my shoes might have gotten dirty. Thus I must thank the authorities for this fine example of proactive governing.

LOL!! That is funny! It really makes one wonder. V

Great catch Tom!
An insurance company probably contacted the governance
who put in the sidewalk and said they must do this of risk loosing coverage!
It may have been in the bid for the side walk when they built it!
Also if someone in a wheelchair rolled off the end!
Someone would have to pay!
So in the End they are just covering all the bases!
Just in case.........
So what looks stupid! (and it is)
Kind of becomes necessary in this day and age!
So yeah, some lawyer somewhere won a case and all the others
were bummed because they didn't think of it first!

Your stimulus dollars at work!

Oh this gave me a smile! You do have to wonder about the minds who thought it necessary - the mention of attorney rings so true!
