Wrong! The was an empty house that the VC moved into just prior to Tet. The holes are the result of two MP jeeps with a mounted M-60 and a 50mm machine gun.
I know this because I wounded a VC trying to escape out of the back yard which had a cement wall around it. I was with an ambulance from the 8th Field and we patched his shoulder and he went to OR, got repaired and his war was over, a POW.
The MPs may have been Korean.

I was with the Australian MP's and I was working the night that they hit the US Embassy .I was on joint patrol with the US MP's from the 716th MP Bn and it was about 10:30 pm and we thought it was just fireworks going off ---- but then all hell broke loose.Hell what a battle it turned out to be,I feel everyday just how lucky I was to come out the otherside. regards Trevor Coote Brisbane tmcoote216014@outlook.com Australia
