... who can tell me WHY I'm getting those concentric pixel circles emanating out from the sun??? Would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions ...

TOM when you push the white colour is always as this result in paticulary when your exposure is with a dominant in white as you shoot the sun..You must exposed win decrease the value :captor.Till Minus 2 points perhaps or use set point on the sun ....

We all get them....depends on where the light is being shot from.....

The lighting of the sky reminds me of a Turner painting. Well done.

I get them once in a while..try to soften the background during the editing and see if that helps. It's still a lovely image and I tend to ignore them in a lot of images!
