I went to bed last night to the sound of wind in the trees and the wind chimes outside my bedroom window.
When I awoke this morning, a storm had blown in and the day was cloudy, grey and considerably cooler than yesterday morning.
A break in the weather, a brief respite where the sun stepped out from behind the clouds and I stepped out for this photo.
I drove east of town to a spot overlooking the mountains and got out of the truck.
These palm trees and the contrails made for a lovely criss-cross pattern.
I snapped my shot, got back in the truck and by the time I was back to the main road the sun had disappeared behind the clouds again.
