Wappenbury Wood is the oldest ancient woodland in Warwickshire. In springtime it is famous for its bluebells but other wild flowers such as stitchwort, wood anemone and celendine are common.
In the past, the wood was used as a resource by coppicing. Today it is owned by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and is open to the public.
An area of the woodland is called Old Nuns Wood.
