Another one of those pictures which had to be taken. It was rather beautiful hike from the car park only 500ft but with my aging short legs supporting an increasing girth and camera bag it took a while, I blame the altitude! Consequently we set off in plenty of time but were rewarded for our efforts and long wait. It was a beautiful dull redish orange before the sun started to drop but I never imagined it would take on this incredible colour just before the sun set - no I haven't been fiddling with the saturation. It truely went this colour.
