An hour or so after sunrise the light breaks onto the hills behind Cut a Way Cottage, I love the way it initially isolates the hills from the foreground before it spills out across the river. This morning it was about -10c and the ice was happily accumulating across the river it reached its maximum a couple of days later freezing from bank to bank for about 200 yards.
