40D image is on top, 50D on the bottom. 40D image was run through a chroma noise clean up action. That is all.

IMO, the original image is also about 1/2 stop darker. I feel even better results could have been achieved if the exposure was more closely matched and a full original image was made available for editing. This one is from a web snap-shot.
