Summer Visitor

Murfreesboro, TN

Getting ready for church last week, I noticed the crape myrtle full of bees. Good light, a fast lens, and...un-bee-lievable. (Sorry...)
The bees don't seem to be able to leave these flowers alone. Not great for the flowers due to the narrow DOF, but I was impressed with how well the 5D Mark IV nailed the focus and stopped the wings. Probably would have been better at f5.6, but I would not have been able to get the wings still without getting higher ISO. Live and learn...

Wow, the bee is really sharp. Looks like he is eyeing you!

A fine sharp capture of this busy bee. Well taken.

The flower blurred and the bee pin sharp
makes for a uniquely effective image, Michael

Very nice, Michael. I have found with the 5Diii even at much higher ISO values that noise
is not a significant problem - I assume that would be true with the Div.

Super, Michael. I love the fact that the antennae are in sharp focus.
Excellent.

An excellent shot, the timing and framing is spot on and must have been difficult
