The Eagle Harbor Lighthouse was built in 1851 because ships were using the harbor to carry ore out of the Keewenaw Peninsula of Michigan during the Copper rush. This structure replaced the original in 1871. I took this photo with my 1950's Rolliecord twin lens camera. It was necessary to stand on rocks below the lighthouse for the shot, so there were not many framing options.
