Mountain Sheep Ewes

These are my girls! We encountered this group of seven ewes on the Maligne Lake Road who were all very friendly. The one on the right came up to my side of my truck and let me pet her nose, then went and laid down along side us. I got out, and sat on the ground with them when the one on the left walked along side me and laid down with me and the other ewe. We sat together for about a half an hour just looking at each other, talking and shooting pictures. I will always remember this as one of my all time favorite wildlife encounters.

As if that wasn't enough, later when we were passing back through this same spot these ewes were still there. I stopped, opened my door and these two came up to my open door, stepped inside and began eating my floor mats while I pet them! I literally had to make them stop eating the mats before they chewed too much!

Wow, what an incredible couple of experiences all in the same day!

I like how you got them both to smile for the camera.

Wow - sounds fun, but a strange choice of diet when they could have had your pants say, or your camera bag -lol.
So perhaps Canadian wild life is as laid back as Canadian people?

(With this one I am up to date with TTL comments)
