Wow !!! What a superb photo of this lovely wood duck. Nature really went to town on decorating this duck and you have shown it to its very best advantage. l've never noticed the triangles diminishing in size as they are higher on its chest before. Magnificent work Jim.

I'm never quick enough with the wood ducks (and I no longer have the equipment to shoot them.) You did an excellent job with a 700mm and only a 1/100th shutter speed. He is tack sharp.

Beautifully spectacular, Jim. Where did you find this guy? With that slow shutter speed, he must have been fairly stationary. I love those colors and the detail.
