Ok... I'm going to find out were Douglas County is and make a
note to go there. Probably not in the snow, though. Your shots
are a fine tribute to the area.
You keep these lovely desolate pictures coming. Great! This is a perfect composition with the different lines in it!

Hi Jim,
You saw the potential of the contrast between the white world
and the tall dark building, the dark road markers and the textured snow
from the snow plow going through.
You combined them them all into a powerful, eye-catching composition,
with the road being a strong lead-in and the mountains, subdued but impressive
in the background.
You did well to take the shot from off the road, for better balance and perspective. Beautiful and artistic work.
I recognize the grain elevator :). Your Douglas County series is just simply
wonderful, Jim. You have captured the Waterville Plateau in Winter very well.
