A lovely photograph of this old beautiful church.

Thank you Terry, Bob, Pete, Hal, Jeff, Lennart, Michael and Jim. The Arizona sun is a double edged sword. LOL It is good for the soul to finally get out and wonder around with my cameras. My film camera has one of my last two rolls of Kodachrome in it. If you aren't a film shooter, you probably don't know that Kodachrome will no longer be processed after Dec. 31st.

At first when I saw the thumbnail I thought this was Greece. When I opened the image I then thought it was New Mexico. No matter, its beautiful and the fact you caught the shady side of this wonderful building shows your skill in creating a great image. Nice job!

Beautiful building with the heavy Spanish influence.
Great light on the point of focus, andnice details.i particularly like the interplay of light and shadow in the bell tower, Cindy.
I'm sure the M9 is glad for the exercise...

Nice motive and picture! To me it looks inspired - at least distantly - by Mexican architecture ( or rather Spanish ).

Very well done Cindy! I don't know if
I could of pulled this off like you did!

Very good photo, Cindy, and the problem of photographing white building
is well solved by choosing a time when the sun is not directly on it.
l'm intrigued at the sidewalk benches facing the church and also
the "gallows with bird cage ". Lovely and interesting photograph.

Pete, LOL! Actually, this church was built in the years 1931-1933 with 6,000 handmade adobe bricks. A local tinsmith made the simple stained glass windows. It remained a mission church until the first Pastor arrived in 1948. In 1956 a bigger church was built on another site. The little Mission Church is now under restoration and is used for weddings. It is beautiful in its simplicity. It isn't old by European standards, and even eastern/midwestern standards, but is part of early Phoenix history.

There must be a photoshop joke here,
A good high image curtesy of Adobe!
Well I think you should take the credit actually
