View from the 6th floor

Rochester, MN

I was on the 6th floor of the Methodist Hospital/Eisenberg Building at Mayo Clinic early on a cold, wet, foggy morning looking down on the still-quiet plaza.

Very nice downtown image and, as others have noted, perfectly
suited for a portrait view. Nicely done straight lines on the
building.

Perfect verticles and the focus point at end of the street is well placed
The yellowy light from the vehicle is perfect little touch

This picture has wonderful depth Cindy and enough detail to keep me engaged for quite a while. Nicely done.

Thank you Hal, Terry, Michael, Jeff, Frank and Pat.
Frank, no mountain. Yes, please take the meds. ;-} That is just smoke from a heating plant shooting out and more buildings in the distance. There was also a lot of fog all around. The yellow building is a hotel and not part of Mayo Clinic, though it is connected by subways for patient's convenience.

You caught the mood and handled the difficult light and fog well..

A very nice street scene, is that a hill or mountain at the end of the street??
With the fog hanging over it, it looks like a volcano erupting.
OK, I know the drill, keep taking my meds.lol.

Great Job! As beautiful as the rural area is where we live, I miss the city. I love the lines and angles of the cityscapes.

Love the lines.
That yellow building just doesn't seem to belong in the city, IMO..
Lovely shot, very well-done, Cindy.

A very moody downtown scene, Cindy. I agree with Hal, you did a
great job with the verticals. It looks about as cold there as it
is here - maybe colder :)

Such a big country and everything so cramped and compressed in the cities.
Your photo is very expressive Cindy, of the city and also the bleak weather.
Also you must score full marks for having the verticals absolutely vertical.
An excellent photograph.
