The Yankee Dutchman Solar Powered Precision Marching Band

Wisconsin

These goofy guys/gals are always a part of the local Fireman's Parade. They actually sound wonderful and are very entertaining.
The Fireman's Parade is one of the highlights of the summer here. It lasts about 1 1/2 hours and is chock full of American Midwestern charm.

This does look like fun. I immediately thought of the
Beatles in those wonderful Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts
Club Band outfits when I saw this shot. "It's wonderful
to be here. It really is a thrill..."

Now, that's one quirky group.
I'm betting they can actually play, though.
Nice, humorous shot of Americana...

Thanks Cindy. Marching and blowing a wind instrument takes some doing.
That's impressive, and nice to see older folks being active and not merely
surrendering to age.

Hal, This shot was from today! First Sunday in August is the day. The parade starts at noon and lasts till about 1:30PM. Then everyone goes to the community park. They have food and rides for the kids. It is a huge event that draws people from far and wide.
These guys/gals have already marched about 3/4 mile by the time they got here and the temp was in the mid 80's. They are a pretty peppy bunch.
