Lobster Boats

I want to thank you for the invitation to join you.
I had already come across Cindi's and Bob's work in my browsing, and love both as I spent time in their galleries.
Thanks for letting me share with you...this shot is from Lubec,Maine. My wife and I are usually in Maine for the Fourth of July every year. We love the area sooo much.

Thanks, Deb...
I don't shoot shirtless hunks, though...
Cindi does it so well, through the pain...

What a beautiful spot on this planet! Takes me right there... and now I'm calm. Thanks so much! (And welcome, once more - we're so glad you're here!)

Terry O:
Thanks very much.
I envy you living by Puget Sound. Loads of lighthouses up there to shoot.
Sherri and I have plans to do many of them...hopefully at a time when it's not raining. I've been to Seattle twice, a week each time, 1 day of sunshine, total...

Pete:
The m8 is a digital, the M7 and MP are the newer film models.
I wouldn't shoot anything else. The glass is the difference, IMO.
Hal tells me he shot M3 some years ago. My first M series was 18 months ago. Going from a Mamiya AFD medium format from A Nikon D1X to a Leica M2 with no meter...well, sunny 16 works, BUUUUTTTTT...
I needed a meter.
I'll give you more info about this great system as we go along. Any specific questions?

I am very pleased to be one of you.
Will try not to let you down...

I will be in withdrawal this year, as my wife and I are going to a medical conference, and I won't make it to our beloved Maine. There are loads of the shots on my main page (meephoto), and I am still editing some, since I came back with 1800 images last year. (Yeah, that really fouls up the processing digitally.) Fortunately some are film, and digitized.
thanks.
if you decide to go, let me know.
if you like lighthouses, I'll give you a list of the best!

What a gorgeous scene! I can see why you'd spend a lot of time there. Welcome to TTL!

Welcome to TTL Michael.
Water and boat photos are always lovely,
so you have made new friends already :)

Welcome, Michael! I live in the Puget Sound region and love nautical
scenes too (although I am a bird nut, mostly). This is very nice -
I look forward seeing more.

I'm looking forward to more shots like this as July is
almost upon us. Pat and I have been talking about a trip
to Maine and will possibly do so one of these years. I was
there and in Nova Scotia in the '70s (1970s) and loved it.
More fishing boats, please!

Nice shot of working boats - at first I saw 35mm and thought you were shooting in film - but the Leica is a digital? How do find the camera, I've never spoken to anybody who uses one?
