Me, Johan Sandström and Eric Blomgren spent almost 2 weeks in eastern Turkey birdwatching and photographing. A country with fantastic landscapes, sceneries and of course stunning birds! We started South of Adana birdwatching among the streams and fields. We got some nice kingfishers and egrets. Then we drove towards Demirkazik with some birdwatching along road I-157. Demirkazik didn´t disappoint us. Our next destination was Birecik and Halfeti but we passed Durnalik and Isikli on the way. We got all the good birds and met the nice man, Mustafa Çulcuoğlu at the Ibis-center at Birecik. He followed us to his good friend Ahmet Demir and we hade som great birding. We continued to Nemrut Dagi and the mystical mountains. We spent the end of our trip at Göksu delta and Demircili. The last day we drove around south of Adana again and the surroundings of Tuzla and Akyatan Gölü. A very nice trip and we saw xx species with almost every special bird of the location we did visit. Next time in Turkey will be further east.
