Red-shouldered Hawk, branchling, 6/2

This juvenile flew to this perch, about 15 yards from the nest; it stayed there for some time, then returned to the nest. It appeared ready to leave the nest area at any moment. Two sibling birds remained in the nest for the hour or so that I observed the scene. A parent bird flew in and perched in another tree near the nest during that period.
