Spots on the side of the breast, would be bars on Long-billed, and fringes of fresh breast and belly feathers show considerable orange and buff, compared to the pure white fringes of Long-billed. Light fringes of scapular and wing covert feathers extend up the side of the feather; on LB, they are mostly confined to the bottom of the feather.
