RACE FOR THE CURE IMAGES 04/15/06

This gallery contains the images for the Susan G Komen Tarrant County Race for the Cure. Over 18,000 people supported this cause and were there at the race as well as 1000 Survivors. The Survivors all wore Pink T-Shirts and the folks there to support the cause wore White T-Shirts. It was an amazing day and for a very good cause. Doing our part to help eliminate Breast Cancer and all other cancers is the goal. I am a one year Survivor. Survivors of all ages from 19 to 90 were there. Women are getting younger everyday and getting diagnosed with this disease. 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with some form of Breast Cancer this year. That means 11 women a minute are told they have Breast Cancer. We run to live, to fight, to give, to love, to support all of those who have won the battle, fighting the battle or died during their fight. To all those amazing women, you are all my sisters and to all those that were there supporting this cause, MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Music is "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. Cindi - I was going through your pictures this afternoon and opened this gallery. Mercy Me's song started playing and I started crying. This song affects me in ways I can not describe and had not heard it lately. I sat here, listened and was flooded by so many thoughts. This weekend, Palm Beach has the same cancer walk as you are speaking of and although I do not physically participate, I am always there in heart and soul for the cause. Thank God I am healthy but even those that are... needs to be reminded often how blessed we are. Thank you for doing that for me today.

Cindi! I have been to this gallery a few times & will keep coming back, I find it's very inspirational .My mother in law is fighting breast cancer, 5 yrs now. She's a very strong woman & I admire her for her strength, just as I admire you and anyone who is fighting this terrible disease! Excellent Gallery, GMV

For whatever reason, I couldn't hear the music on my machine at work. However, I'm at home now and I can hear it. Its a beautiful song for a beautiful gallery.

Cindi, your Mom sent me this beautiful depiction of the Race. I could not make the Komen this year, but I was in Relay for Life in Flower Mound which is American Cancer Society. I am so thankful you are doing so well, as am I. Cancer really draws you close to God and the great sisterhood of love and courage. I love you.

That song touches my heart, Cindi. I remember when you sent it to me. Tears of gratitude fall and we can only imagine how it will be when we see our Lord face to face". I wish they could see the pics that go with that beautiful song. The girl looks like you!

i do the run here in toronto every year in support of my mothers sister, and my colleagues.. we have about 6 dragon boat teams here in toronto that compete each year to raise funds to find a cure.. my we find one soon... thank for the inspirational photos..
