There was limited production of cars for use by the military and government after the shut-down of civilian-car production in Feb. 1942. Production continued during the war years; so, there are indeed 1943, 1944, and 1945 Chevies. These were usually painted in olive drab, or some such plain color. There are also civilian 1943, 1944, and 1945 U.S. automobiles by way of delivery dates and registrations. Many of the last 1942 models were mothballed, and doled out to essential civilians during the war years. Such a car with a 1943, 1944, or 1945 delivery date may be considered as a 1943, 1944 or 1945 model. Some states even titled these cars as 1943, 1944, and 1945 models. Bill K. Great shot, Cindi. FYI...The Car is a 1942 or 1946. Cars were not produced during the WW2 era. All production was used for military only.
