a perfect juxtaposition shot.

A fantastic juxtaposition. V

Well seen, Cindi. A good comparison.
Wind turbines may be necessary until something better comes along.
In numbers, I find their visual impact unsightly.

the old is more sympathetic, the new perhaps more efficient...extraordinary landscape...V

Yup. Just different times. Great shot of this blended era.

A wonderful scene, Cindi! \/

I don't like wind farms :-(

I like the old better... and the old ones don't kill thousands of birds like the new ones.

terrific image, well seen and shot BV

Well spotted!
This is one of a kind shot!

The old ones are eye catching while the new ones need a visit from Don Quijote! Good catch Cindi!!!
Chris08-Feb-2012 06:23
The cost of the new outweigh their output many times and it's always a case of 'not in my backyard'. They are very striking to see but I know which I prefer.
You've made us think with this one, Cindi!

I like the dynamism of the new :-)

Good eye Cindi...I really like this shot! v

Cool shot Cindi. Somehow I like the old better. I'm willing to bet most comments you get will confirm that.

A hundred year the old wind pump has stood, and will probably outlast the new ones yet.
A great juxtapose of technology.
Coleen Perilloux Landry08-Feb-2012 02:54
Of course the old is more appealing, less noisy and traps less birds. Nicfe comparison. Love the pieces out of the tin shed; must have been holes for exhausts.

This is sort of amusing, the old with the new. :) Which has more character? I know what I think. LOL
