THREE IN THE AIR

Flower Mound, TX

I found out they have an actual fishing class that takes place on a daily basis so the kids fishing here are part of that class. The boys running were in the middle of their P.E. class. Much fun to watch them all. The high school is just up the hill behind me where I took this shot.

Great capture Cindi, and interesting that someone teaches fishing. Pole, line, worm, used to work for me. Never thought about the science of it, learned more from LynnH then than my usual habits!

That's nice that they have a fishing class. Most people don't understand the amount of science and skill involved with fishing, especially bass fishing. Understanding the biology of the fish is part of it, and so is understanding weather patterns and air pressure. Then you need to understand the water, layers of thermocline, ph, and oxygen. It all affects the fish and your choice or lure and presentation.
Then there is the presentation itself. You need to understand the artifical lure styles and their mechanics. If you don't fish them correctly, they look unnatural. I think there would be plenty of great science and physics and biology lessons in this class if it is done right.
