PADDLING INTO DOCK

Stehekin, WA

This sea plane landed in front of the lodge we stayed at and paddled into shore from the window at the front of the plane. Have never seen one with a propeller in the back like that. I have a few more of these to post but that will have to wait til Thursday when I am home. I missed the landing, unfortunately. I heard it but didn't realize it was actually landing so close.

Well done on capturing the best moment of any float plane pilot...paddling to the dock. Lake Chelan is a beautiful place for seaplane. Landed on the lake many times in the past.

WOW love this shot with the reflections and the captured moment paddling in.
Now a ride in that would be superb.

what a great shot.
If you timed it on purpose(the paddle and water)
If not,great luck.
My brother says better lucky than good,BEST to be lucky AND good

Great catch! That is a "Lake Amphibian". If I could I would have one of these. It can land on the sea, as you so aptly captured, and has retractable landing gear to land at regular airports. This is the first time I have seen one rowed. The pilot/captain may have been concerned about the water's depth and wanted to approach the shallows with caution.

I've seen planes like this before (on TV shows) but not in person. Neat!
