Whitemud Creek is a very large green area right in the middle of Edmonton, and as such is a favorite birding destination for us. Here Dave is with Alan Hingston, a long time friend. Many birds, like the Pileated Woodpecker are quite common here, but this is also a place to look for specialties like the Black-backed and Three-toed Woodpeckers and Barred Owls.
