Here Dave, looking through the scope, is with our friend Gerald Romanchuck at Beaverhill Lake. This is a favorite birding destination for birders in the Edmonton area as it has attracted many rarities over the years. The big attraction is the shorebirds, although Jaegers and several species of rare gulls have also been seen here.
