Hemaris thysbe - Hummingbird Clearwing 7a.jpg

When I looked at my images of this moth at the dandelions, I noticed how it consistently placed its front legs on the flower while still remaining in flight. Perhaps, by maintaining contact with the flower, the moth finds it easier to accurately insert its proboscis into the flower for feeding purposes.
