These galleries are the result of 22 days spent in Costa Rica in February and early March in 2008. I spent my time at three different lodges, Selva Verde, Rancho Naturalista and Savegre Mountain Lodge. As well I had short side trips to a few other locations.
The first nine galleries are loose taxonomic treatments of the various plants and animals I photographed at all locations in the country. For anyone interested in seeing specific groups of organisms, regardless of where they were photographed in Costa Rica, these are the galleries to look at. The next five galleries are location specific galleries. It is my hope that these will make it easier for people to decide which lodges to visit the next time they travel to Costa Rica.

Some great photos of some amazing birds! Your lovely images brought back so many fond memories of my trip there in 2006. La Selva was my favorite spot to bird and photograph so many wonderful subjects. That place was literally birdy in every corner you look!
