Each year the fire departments all over Long Island deck their vehicles with holiday cheer and go out into the streets with all sirens blaring and lights flashing. If you run out quickly enough, you'll get a glimpse of Santa. As for the ghostly effects on the left, you can choose your own explanation. I didn't see any of that when I took the pictures.
