We had only a half day to sitesee on a recent visit to the Cape. We were staying in Hyannis, so we first started to go to the JFK Museum, which was under major renovations. We know that the Edward Gorey estate had converted his old home into a museum, but we only knew that it was in nearby Yarmouth. I went to the used book store across from the JFK Museum and asked about the Gorey place. The woman behind the counter told us exactly what highway to head for and the name of the turnoff street. We expected another disappointment, but sometimes things do work. I'd been reading and collecting Gorey since the 1960's so this was quite a treat.
