I took this shot at Colusa National Wildlife Refuge, the morning after I purchased my digital SLR. The photo fails to capture the sound of the geese calling as they flew into and out of the refuge, so some of the drama of the experience is lost. I hope this image and the others inspire people to appreciate the many wonders around us, especially those found in the wild places.
