Growing-up

This was a fun shot, taken while experimenting with an old box brownie.
You can see that the shadows don't line up but the idea was what counted.
You have already seen these two photographed with SFX film in the shot
titled: "feeling safe" Hope you like this one.

hi, this is an interesting shot, I think if you have the little girl stand on the woman's shadow would have done the trick :)

awesome shot Kees, really unique, I guess the stars (or shadows in this case) alligned for yourself to get such a combination. One of the shots where no explanations are necessary, our imaginations can do the work.

Saw this on most popular photos... absolutely brilliant. Great idea and really perfectly executed. The contrast of positions and stance is really quite remarkable. No issue in my opinion that the shadows don't line up as it means this doesn't play a trick on the eyes which means it speaks to me much more honestly... this is a dream shot in my opinion kees. Big vote

Hey Norman Tam, I have heard from others that the film is an issue but I loaded it with bog standard 120 medium format film, the same kind that I use for the Blad and it works with no problems. It even says on the back: Kodak No 2 Brownie. Use Kodak Film No 120.

hooha, kees. great idea. very creative.

this was taken with a brownie?! my dad passed me a brownie as well. damn, they are not selling the film no more. what a shame. this camera is like treasure for my family. it has so much memory with it.

anyway, please share more of the brownie.

This is ingenious, Kees. I really like this concept. Regardless of the shadows not lining up, this is what little girls are made of. :)
