First quilt from a pattern. All foundation pieced, this quilt was for my cousin who is in college studying Entomology (bugs). This was a Christmas gift for her in 2005, and the whole family raved about it. Normally, I wouldn't have used the bright red to border this quilt, but crimson and white are her school colors, so I figured if she didn't think the bugs were "cool" enough to put on her dorm bed, she could just turn it red side out. Turns out, she loved the quilt. I worried for nothing.
