Gum 15 also known RCW 32 and Cr 197 is an emission nebula located in the north west part of the constellation of Vela.
It is in the middle of two bigger objects: Ru 64 and Gum 17.
The star HD 74804 (Mg 7.34) is located in the center of the nebula and it is the responsible of the ionization of the gas. The central region shows dark patches of obscure dust.
The open cluster NGC 2671 is seen at the bottom of the image just left of center.
